At a meeting in Radfords earlier this evening HUST, the Hereford United Supporters Trust, elected a 'board' of seven members.

From left to right: Martin Watson, Jack James, Tony Clifford-Jones, Gemma Eckley, Chris Williams, Paul Stevens, and Gary Bradley.

The meeting was chaired by Chris Williams and around 30 members were present.

A few points:

Two more members will be co-opted onto the trust board.

Objectives include having regular open meetings.

Anyone is welcome to join.

Trust will hold a Junior Bulls party sometime before Xmas. They have been given the opportunity of taking on the JB organisation.

Currently 325 members comprising 269 adults and 56 juniors.

Hope to have a players reunion from the 2003/4 season.

And a 25 year ago players reunion with Phil Stant and others.

Also a Ben Smith evening when the former player will promote his new book.

All three events to take place in the Starlite Rooms

Discussion about the ACV which is now being considered by the Hereford Council. The aim is to protect the asset - Edgar Street.

Trust to have regular meetings with board.

Trust will consider buying shares.

HUFC Board has agreed that should the Trust make any investment in the club then they will receive an equivalent amount of shares.

Finally the Trust states that its work is to 'preserve and promote professional football in Hereford and the wider community of supporters, and to encourage supporter involement with dialogue, fan representation on the board, and share ownership.'
