News Round-Up

Aldershot are out of the FA Cup after losing 2-1 at home to Nailsworth's top side Shortwood United at the Rec last night. Worcester are also out after going down 3-0 at Lincoln, while Kidderminster are through after beating Bradford PA 2-1 in a game that didn't finish until nearly 11pm. The game was delayed by nearly 30 minutes after Bradford's coach failed to arrive, then the match went into extra time with the game goalless.

Wrexham keeper Joslain Mayebi is reported to have received new French documents and is on his way back to the club. Manager Andy Morrell says he still expects answers after receiving a call 'from some random solicitor' to tell him the keeper was on his way back. Tranmere have confirmed that the owners of the club are in negotiations to sell the Prenton Park outfit. The club's Supporters Trust are aiming to raise £500,000 to make their own bid for the club.

Forest Green have parted company with caretaker boss Gary Seward after telling him he was not being considered for the permanent job. Youth coach Scott Bartlett is now in temporary charge of the first team. Former Telford coach John Psaras has teamed up with ex-Luton assistant Alan Neilson to make a joint bid for the role. Nuneaton striker Andy Brown will miss a further two months after surgery on a detached retina. He has missed most of October with the problem already.

Aldershot director Terry Knights has told the BBC that manager Andy Scott's position should not be questioned after their loss to Shortwood United. Scott only signed a two year extension two weeks ago, but they have won only one of their last eight games. Club captain Craig Stanley apologised to fans after the defeat, saying that 'there were a few strong words in the dressing room afterwards'.

Nuneaton have released full back David McNamee and midfielder Mark Bell. Former Scotland international McNamee has struggled with injury this term while Bell, who only signed in the summer, has failed to start a game with only three sub appearances to his name.
