Grimsby are under fire from fans after announcing they would charge their normal admission prices for Saturday's FA Cup game with Rushall Olympic. The Mariners say that, from experience, the lower league side would have refused a lower price - even though they never asked. Braintree have lost the services of loan striker Charlie Strutton after Wimbledon opted to keep him after his month expired. He scored six times in seven games for the Iron.

FC United of Manchester's new stadium will start construction next month with a completion date of August. The 5,000 capacity stadium is expected to cost £5.5million to complete, with community facilities including function rooms and pitches also in the scheme. The fan-owned club raised nearly £2million of the funding with a community share scheme, with the facilities being shared with the junior side that currently holds the lease on the site.

Former Bull Stephen Jennings has rejoined Tranmere on non-contract terms. The 28 year old left Prenton Park four years ago for Motherwell, but has been out of a job since leaving Coventry in August. John Coleman says he will apply for the vacant Forest Green job, with the press reporting that chairman Dale Vince will consult with friend Gary Neville over his next appointment. Terry Brown is clear favourite in the betting, following by ex-Fleetwood boss Mickey Mellon.
