It is reported that a whopping 222 Police officers were on duty during the Wrexham-Chester derby match earlier in the season. Wrexham are reported to have been charged £3,400 for the operation that saw 22 arrested. Worcester have released defender Exodus Geoghaghon after the former Mansfield man refused to play in their FA Cup match at the weekend as he didn't want to be cup-tied.

Former Bull Steven Jennings is on trial with Mansfield after leaving Coventry. Now 28, Jennings left the Sky Blues in the transfer window after a year following a three year stint with Motherwell. Bury have sacked manager Kevin Blackwell after a run of two points from six games left them a single point above the relegation zone in League Two. The former Leeds boss signed 23 players in the summer after the club's finances were secured in a takeover.

Macclesfield management duo John Askey and Efe Sodje are reported to be in the frame for the vacant management jobs at both Gillingham and Bury after the Silkmen won five of their last six matches. Luton have released defender Garry Richards by mutual consent. The former Gillingham man, 27, hasn't played for the club since his summer 2012 move after damaging an ankle in pre-season. The Hatters have also loaned youngster Jake Woolley to St Neots Town for an initial month. The 20 year old striker has just finished a loan spell at Boreham Wood.
