In an interview in advance of Saturday's Conference match at Halifax, Hereford United manager Martin Foyle has stressed that there's no money at Edgar Street but he remains hopeful that better times are ahead.
"We have hit bad times," he told the Sentinel.
"We have a Football League name, but unfortunately we are miles adrift.
"Last year the players didn't get paid for four or five months, and this year we've got to lose £350,000.
"When we first came here there were 29 players and seven or eight staff, but now there are 20 players, me, Andy and a physio.
"We are a little club in the Conference now, but the foundations
of the club are gradually getting there and hopefully next year we'll
get our reward.
"Of course we are enjoying the challenge but we
also know that at the end of the season we will lose 20 players and
have to build a new side again."
