Halifax defender Simon Ainge says the Shaymen will have a little bit extra for the Bulls after a string of wins.
The former Luton man, who returned North after joining the Hatters from Guiseley 12 months ago, has been an integral part of the Shaymen side that has collected maximum points at home. He told their official site: “We’re always confident of getting three points here at home, but getting four goals and keeping a clean sheet here (against Grimsby) means we go into the game against Hereford with a little bit extra.”
The Shaymen are likely to have striker Lee Gregory back after injury. The former Mansfield man netted in each of their first four games before breaking a wrist on August Bank Holiday Monday. Ainge added: “Greggers is probably one of the best strikers in the league so having him back is always a positive, so we’re all looking forward to having him back.”
Despite the Bulls' indifferent away form, Ainge doesn't want to take anything for granted: “In this league anyone can get a result away from home, so it’s important for us to stick to what we’re good at; hopefully the result will come and we’ll continue our great home form on.”
Halifax are favourites for the match, with Evens the best price currently available having been steadily cut since Tuesday's results.
