Hereford United manager Martin Foyle and Halifax manager Neil Aspin were mates when they played for Port Vale. However tomorrow they face each other for the first time as managers.
Aspin is aware of Hereford's recent dip in form and appreciates Foyle has a lot of fresh faces in his squad.
"They were a big, strong team last year, very powerful," said Aspin.
"I know they’ll be well organised because Foyley’s a good coach.
"It’s another challenge but I’m enjoying it. Every game is different and presents its own challenge."
Foyle continues to have injury problems in the squad and will be without several of his players for the game including Michael Rankine, Frankie Artus and Josh O'Keefe. Chris Sharp is a doubt.
He is also looking for more leadership from his senior players.
"It about characters at the moment and I need one or two more at the moment especially the senior players to stand up and help the other ones," said Foyle in a Bulls Player interview.
The game at Halifax won't be easy.
"We need to knuckle down and we need to stand up and be counted. I've moaned to the players because we've not been good enough"
Meanwhile the bookies continue to favour a win for Halifax tomorrow.
Latest Odds:
Halifax 1 Draw 13/5 Hereford 3/1
