Grimsby Town have confirmed they have sacked joint boss Rob Scott after an appeal process.
Scott was pushed aside 13 days ago, with the club reluctant to discuss the reasons why. The Mariners have now released a statement saying they have completed an appeals process by Scott, and have confirmed his dismissal.
A club statement says that Scott failed to show 'an acceptable level of conduct' and there was 'nothing to suggest he was likely to change'.
The club will continue with Paul Hurst in sole charge for the time being, but there was considerable unrest from fans after their 4-0 loss to Halifax at the weekend.
