Martin Foyle At Chester Last Night |
Hereford United manager Martin Foyle was pleased top take three points at Chester last night but still feels there's lots of work to do.
"It's always nice to get the first three points on the table, clean sheet, away win," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"It can only do our confidence the world of good.
"There were still a lot of passages of play there when we let ourselves down at times.
"But sometimes you have to come away from home and say thank you, take it, get on with it and move onto the next game.
"For me it's still too cheap, I still think we gave that ball away too easily but we've got a lot of new players.
"One result doesn't really change my mind-set, we've still got loads to work on."
Asked whether he would accepted four points from the first two games, Foyle said he thought a lot of people would have.
"I thought this was a tricky one, they've come back into the Conference, their first home game with 3,000.
"You can't ask for a better crowd than that."
Foyle spoke about the goals.
"The goal deflated them just before going into half-time.
"It was well worked with Luke going around the back and it was a good header.
"Great time to score then the sending off deflated them.
"Ranks set up the (second) goal and a good finish for Smithy.
"I was pleased for Smithy because he is still struggling a little bit with his groin."
