Ex-Bull Easton Coaching With Dagenham

Former Bulls midfielder Clint Easton is combining anti-racism work with coaching in Dagenham's youth section.

The 35 year old retired last summer due to an ongoing knee injury, taking up a role with the Show Racism The Red Card campaign. Recently he also started coaching with Dagenham's u15 and u16 sides, telling The Pro Lounge:

'I’ve been working for Show Racism the Red Card the past few years and we’ve been working hard at educating kids about racism and showing ways of dealing with racism which is a really fulfilling job.

'I’ve also just started coaching at Dagenham and Redbridge with the U15’s and U16’s. I’m also looking to get into property and have a few other options but it has been a bit hard coming out of football because it just hits you, especially when you have to retire.'

The former England u20 man believes that the promotion he won at Edgar Street was one of the highlights of his career: 'I think playing for England was a massive achievement. I also think that the run we went on at Norwich to get in the play off final was a huge achievement.

'We had 14 games to go and were mid table and we ended up winning 13 and drawing 1 and we were unlucky to lose on penalties. Well I scored my penalty in the final and at the end of season doo, me and the other lads that scored sat on a table on our own!

'But the Hereford promotion was another great moment – we were favourites to go down and achieved automatic promotion. Even later in my career at Ebbsfleet, despite being in a lower league, it was a great achievement for us to go up via the play offs. So all 3 of those were fantastic achievements looking back now.'
