The fourty or so Hereford United cyclists who pedalled all the way from Hereford to Telford earlier today have raised in excess of £6,000 and donations are still coming in.

The riders set off from Edgar Street around 9.30 and arrived at the New Bucks Head around 4.00pm.

Manager Martin Foyle was full of praise for those who took part and all the helpers.
"To get fourty people on their bikes and raising £6000 plus is absolutely fantastic achievement," said Foyle.
"All those things go into the equation."
One of the cyclists, former Bulls player Gareth Davies, did the whole trip on a tandem along with Tasha Wester.

"It's much harder than playing football," he said afterwards.
"Coming up Much Wenlock hill, hardest thing I think I've ever done in my life.
"Without Tasha I wouldn't have got through the sixty miles, especially the last leg."
