Notts County face winding up proceedings from HMRC this morning, but claim they only found out about it on Friday and they are up to date with payments. The court proceedings relate to a payment due in December, with the club insisting they will seek legal action against the taxman for damage to it's reputation. Owner Ray Trew stopped investing in the club last month due to falling attendances and criticism of his regime. Update - the petition has been dismissed.
Southport forward Shaun Whalley has been linked with a move to York according to reports in the Non-League Paper. The 25 year old former Chester and Accrington man has scored five times this season and is out of contract in the summer. Barnet have signed former Scotland international Craig Beattie, subject to international clearance.
