Hereford United mid-fielder James McQuilken came on as a sub this afternoon and his introduction livened up the game so much that the Bulls were unlucky not to score.
McQuilken came on in the 69th minute for Will Evans who had tended to lump the ball up the pitch to little advantage for much of the game.
Keith Hall, reporting for BBC Hereford and Worcester, felt he should start next week in the FA Cup game against FC United.
"I do agree that James McQuilken took the game to the opposition straight away.
"All of a sudden there was a zip to Hereford's passing.
"He does like to get the ball down and roll it on the deck and show a lot of movement.
"My only criticism is that he isn't the strongest, the most physical player and does tend to get brushed off the ball too easily.
"We are playing a footballing side next week and he's the sort of player I think you are going to need if you are going to take the game to the opposition.
"So given the injury situation that Hereford have, I think he should start."
Manager Martin Foyle was asked about McQuilken in his post match interview.
"James will be the first to say his attitude wasn't right. His pre-season form was poor.
"But since I put him available for transfer or loan, didn't have a phone-call for him and then it was a case to see whether he would buck his ideas up.
"Fair play to him, he's knuckled down, got on with it and works a lot harder."
