Manager Martin Foyle felt Hereford United defended well this afternoon but Braintree didn't pose too many problems other than a shot which rebounded off the post.
"I thought it was in," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I thought that was our luck at the moment but, fair play it stayed out.
"Other than that, a dull encounter.
"It looked like two tired teams that had played mid-week. Nothing really clicked for either side.
"I thought we just looked like we just kicked balls at times. We certainly haven't done that on the training pitch.
"Our confidence just seems to be a bit low at the moment. It going to take somebody brave to make a decision and score a goal.
"There's a lot of naivity in our play. At times it's frustrating to watch and I can understand the supporters frustration."

"He reads the game, reads the situations and Stef plays well around him."
Foyle has seven players out at present.
"It happens, you've got to get on with it.
"It gives other players an opportunity."
It's the FA Cup next week.
"We'll go with what we have got. Nobody will be back for the game.
"We'll take it on the chin and get on with it.
"Gary has gone to see them today."
Finally Foyle confirmed that all the players, such as Todd and Marsh, would be available for the game.
