Hereford United chairman David Keyte has contrasted the situation his club is currently in with clubs in the Premiership.
Tomorrow is designated non-league day as there are no matches in either the premiership or the championship.
BBC Midlands caught up with Keyte at Edgar Street this morning.
"People can watch Barcelona and Manchester United to their hearts content and I think there is a real danger that the local team, your home town team, is being left on the wayside," said Keyte.
"And that's a concern."
The item included pictures from what was said to be a board meeting at Edgar Street but it was more likely to have been a meeting in the board room.
One fact emerged about attendance - premiership average last season 34,000, Hereford's average to date this season is below 2,000.
And another about wages - prem clubs spend £80M each season, Hereford's budget is £600,000.
Finally income from TV - a team at the bottom of the premiership gets £39M, Hereford get just £50,000 for being in the Conference.
"It's obsence isn't it," said Keyte.
"We hear a top player being fined £220,000 allegedly and then hear that is ten days pay.
"That's more than four years of funding for a Conference club."
