The following is a statement from HUISA issued after last night's committee meeting:
The HUISA committee met this week to discuss recent events at the football club. We are requesting a meeting with the Board of Directors, hopefully, next week to discuss a strategy for the way forward, in particular any areas in which HUISA, its members and supporters can assist.
In due course, it is hoped to arrange a HUISA members meeting where we can pass on the Board's comments to our members and come up with ideas for fund-raising and assisting the Club.
The idea of ring-fencing fans' donations has been mentioned by some, to be used in the event of the worst case scenario but we believe that at this time any monies raised should be given to the Football Club as soon as possible to pay the bills as they become due which will hopefully allay any fears of the club's demise.
In the meantime, we would urge as many fans as possible to support any fund raising events that they can.
Any supporters wishing to make donations via HUISA can do so by sending cash, or cheques payable to HUISA to PO Box 1999, Hereford, HR2 7WA.
We can assure you any donations, large or small, will go to the benefit of the Football Club.
