Hereford United manager Martin Foyle, pictured, will be without at least six of his squad for Saturday's home game against Braintree.
Three players, Marley Watkins, Chris Carruthers and Luke Graham were injuried during last Tuesday's match at Nuneaton and not one of them will have recovered in time.
As well as these three, Marlon Jackson remains side-lined with a hamstring problem, Josh O'Keefe also with a hamstring injury and Michael Townsend with a bad back.
"We are down to 14 players," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Everybody wanted to go with a really really small squad.
"But you can't do it in today's game.
"I think when players play 40 to 45 games a season for some reason whether the game is quicker or the pitches are a little bit harder or whatever, players don't seem to manage as many games anymore."
