Before the weekend, Barrow signed former Stockport man Sean McConville on a short term deal. The 23 year old ended last season on loan at then League One Rochdale but agreed a mutual termination to his Hatters contract in August. Stockport teenager Kyle Brownhill is reported to be interesting several Championship sides. The 17 year old made his debut last season with the likes of Leeds and Blackburn interested.

Portsmouth's Administator has confirmed receiving revised bids from the club's Supporters Trust and former owners Portpin, but that the third bid from a Middle East consortium is still yet to prove it has the funds required. Administrator Trevor Birch says the two revised offers have both made sufficient progress towards acceptability for him to extend the timeframe on the bidding process.

Truro City's future looks bleak after just 538 turned out for Saturday's game with Brackley, still their biggest attendance of the season, following a desperate plea from the Administrator for a gate of 750 to keep the club running. Administrator Kate Breeze says the club is running at a 'substantial shortfall' and is relying solely on gate income to remain operational, with fans raising several hundreds of pounds in a bucket collection at the match.

Macclesfield striker Ben Mills is the subject of a bidding war after Chester pulled out of a deal to take their loanee on permanently, claiming the Silkmen had upped the price by 30%. Several Conference sides are reported to have made moves for the striker that scored nine times in six starts and two sub appearances for the Conf North side. In analysis done by the unofficial Welsh Premier website, attendances in the division have dropped 12% so far this season.
