Southport have signed keeper Zac Hibbert and full back Liam Willis. Hibbert has played for a number of local sides, while Willis was in the Sandgrounders youth team before being snapped up by Wigan. Talks on investment into Newport have collapsed with a consortium of local businessmen accusing the club's current board of not fully disclosing the club's accounts. The board say the consortium refused to tell it their intentions amid claims they were prepared to put £750,000 into the club over three years.
