In an interview with the Gateshead OS, Adam Bartlett has been talking about his time with Hereford United and in particular what reaction he might get when his new team plays at Edgar Street next April.
"The first two years were spot on but last year with the injuries and a dip in form I didn't get a foothold back in the team.
"It wasn't the best of season's but that's life. I got the injury in the second game, foolishly played the third and was then out for the next four months with a torn thigh muscle.
"I only made 18 appearances last season so I'm looking forward to knuckling down and getting back to the heights that I'd reached previously.
"Throughout my career I've played the bulk of games and I was an ever-present at Hereford for 107 games before I got the injury.
"I had played every game for Kidderminster in my one season there so a long lay off was a bit of a shock and I subsequently struggled for consistency.
"I got in for the last four games, two wins and two draws, but it wasn't enough to keep Hereford in the Football League due to Barnet winning on the last day.
"I'll get the chance to face the Bulls this season and those are obviously two games I want to win on a personal level.
"I'm not sure of the reaction I'll get at Edgar Street but I couldn't be happier plying my trade back on my native Tyneside."
