Former Hereford United defender Tony James will be playing for a Conference side not too far from his Hereford home this coming season as he has joined Newport County.
James was released by Burton last month and hinted he would like to have re-joined the Bulls as it would cut out a lot of travelling.
James was brought up close to Newport.
Meanwhile Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed that he has made an offer to Richard O'Kelly to join him at Crawley. O'Kelly recently rejected an offer to continue to manage Hereford United.
"I have worked with Richard for nine years," said O'Driscoll.
"He speaks his own mind and is his own man.
"He is unbelievably positive as a person, even in the most dire of circumstances, that is priceless."
