Harry Pell broke new ground on Saturday as he was fielded by Cambridge as a centre forward.
The lanky midfielder was deployed as a central striker for the first time in his career as the U's took on Hayes & Yeading in a Conference match. He spent much of his previous matches with the U's as a left winger, a position he took on late on during the latest match after a reshuffle.
He told his Twitter followers after the match: 'Unlucky not to get the win today.. Clean sheet.. My centre forward virginity is now been taken haha ... On to monday :)'
Cambridge face the already relegated Kettering on Monday.
