Speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester after this afternoon's match at Morecambe, manager Richard O'Kelly praised the hard work from his players.
"In the first half I thought we played really well and created some good opportunities," said the Hereford United manager.
"Then, in the second half it was backs to the wall, throwing your body in front of things and getting a fair of luck, I must say, but sometimes if you work hard you get that.
"I have only been here six days but the first thing (I noticed) when I came through the door was that there was a good team spirit.
"That's one of the things that helps any side in this situation as if you want to call yourself a team you have got to have a good work ethic and team spirit and they had that in abundance in the second half."
Finally O'Kelly was asked about the next game.
"That's seven days away. I'll just enjoy this for the moment thank you."
