Former Bulls loanee Lee Collins is set to return to the Championship on loan.
Ahead of the Bulls trip to Vale Park on Tuesday, Port Vale have confirmed speculation linking former Wolves man Collins with a loan move to Barnsley. The cash-strapped club say that talks are ongoing but no move has been finalised.
Collins, who played 16 times for the Bulls on loan, joined Vale in January 2010 on a free transfer from Wolves and is out of contract in the summer. The move would lessen the pressure on Administrator Bob Young to axe staff at the club, however Vale's lengthy injury list means boss Micky Adams can ill-afford Collins' departure.
