The Bulls entertain Swindon Town in a League Two match on Saturday.
The two sides met for the first time in three seasons when the Bulls recovered a two goal deficit to draw 3-3 at the County Ground in Gary Peters' first match at the club. It was the first point earned against the Robins since the 1-1 draw at Edgar Street when Bradley Hudson-Odoi scored the last of his three goals for the Bulls to equalise past keeper Phil Smith, the only player from either side that day still at their club.
Harry Pell's last minute equaliser at the County Ground in October was hoped to be the herald of a recovery in the Bulls fortunes. Fast forward four months and the Bulls have slumped back into their old habits and the Essex Socrates appears to be sidelined for some time. Such is the quality of recent form that less than 2,000 Bulls fans turned out for last week's derby with Cheltenham, and the faithful will be less than happy if Jamie Pitman's men turn out another performance of the level witnessed at Aldershot.
Paolo Di Canio told the press after their demolition of Crawley that he'd prefer to be banned for the rest of the season as he doesn't have to watch the game again on video afterwards when he watches from the stand. Eagle eyed watchers on Tuesday night saw Di Canio's assistant using a small radio at the County Ground, but the Italian will be able to bark orders right from his seat with the Directors Box being so close to the touchline at Edgar Street. Ex-Bull Alan Connell has started just seven League games this season but still has six goals, with the much rotated front line yet to find a regular pairing.
