Phillips to Referee at Gillingham

David Phillips is set to referee Tuesday evening's League Two match between Gillingham and Hereford United.

Police Officer Phillips won't have too far to travel to the game as he is based in West Sussex.

The Bulls met Phillips twice last season, both times at Edgar Street. The first time was in March 2011 when the visitors, Bury, won 3-0. Harry Pell and Kenny Lune were both booked.

The second time was seven weeks later when Bradford were the opponents. That game was a goal-less draw and no player was booked.

It was Aldershot in September 2009 that Phillips was last in charge of a Hereford United away game. The result was a 2-2 draw with both Glen Southam and Jamie Tolley going into the refs notebook. Plummer scored both Hereford goals.

To date this campaign Phillips has refereed 23 games in which he has given out 65 yellow cards and 8 red cards.
