The Bulls travel to Gillingham on Tuesday with the Gills rocked by revelations that they are to be sued by a former player.
Mark McCammon is taking the club to an employment tribunal claiming the club treated its black players differently over fines, medical treatment, and wage reductions following relegation. The club has issued a brief statement denying the claims.
Striker McCammon, 33 and now at Lincoln, is claiming racial discrimination and unfair dismissal after being released at the end of his three year deal in 2011 after an injury-plagued time at the club. He claimed in 2010 that then manager Mark Stimson "may be trying to force me out" and that teammates had remarked to him that the treatment he was receiving "appears to be personal".
The final year of his deal, last season, he made just five sub appearances in the League and one JPT start for Andy Hessenthaler's side, and failed to make a first team appearance in the final six months of the season.
The PFA have already tried to mediate in the matter with chief Gordon Taylor telling the press it was a 'very unusual case'.
