Bradford boss Phil Parkinson is hoping the Bulls get stage fright when they face the Bantams on Saturday.
With the home side allowing entry to the bulk of their 15,000 empty seats for £1, Parkinson hopes the bolstered crowd will intimidate the Bulls. He told the local press: “We keep saying it’s about making Valley Parade an uncomfortable place for the visiting team and the crowd can play their part in that. This ticket idea is great and what we want to bring more supporters into the ground.
“We’ve had a good result down at Torquay and now there’s a big week coming up, starting with an important game against Hereford.
“It’s one we are relishing and when the ground gets a good atmosphere in there, it can make a difference. When the crowd are off their seats behind us, that can really lift the players.”
Parkinson obviously didn't pay too much attention earlier in the season when the Bulls put in an admirable performance at Villa Park in front of over 21,000 supporters, while they are yet to show any nerves in three recent visits to Valley Parade with the Bulls winning 3-1 in 07/08 in front of 13,640 - more than any of the Bantams' home gates this season.
Bradford have confirmed the signing of keeper Jamie Annerson from Rotherham on an initial months loan. The 23 year old will be on the bench on Saturday as cover with Matt Duke loaned out.
