Hereford United defender Rob Purdie felt there were some positives to take from this afternoon's game despite losing 3-2.
"We can take the positives that we came back, we battled hard," Purdie told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I think we took the game to Rotherham as well regardless of having to get back from being 2-0 down. I thought we deserved to get something out of the game.
"We are too easy to conceed against at the moment."
Looking at the game as a whole Purdie felt it was the best they had played recently.
"We pressed them, we passed when we had to, we got it forward when we had to.
"Apart from the scoreline it's a good thing for us to look at.
"What Gary Peters has brought in is a belief in us where if the ball goes out of play or if it is not the best of balls we are still positive about it. We can get something from the throw in or the second ball.
"I think today we tried to pass it at the right time and we've worked to get the ball into the channels.
"The sad thing is we're still not getting points on the board.
"It's a transition period for us as at the start of the season we wanted to play football then Gary has come in and said we might have to be a bit more direct to get us out of the position we're in.
"Now we are trying to find a mix of when we can pass it or when we have to go long. And I thought we found it quite good today."
