Former Hereford United striker Dixie McNeil will be in Hereford this weekend promoting his book, The Autobiography Of Dixie McNeil.
On Friday evening, the VP club will host an evening with McNeil. The veteran will chat about his career and sign copies of his book.
Tickets, costing £5, are available from the club office and all are welcome. The event will start at 7.30pm.
Then on Saturday McNeil will be at Waterstones in Commercial Road from 11am to 3pm. Again he will sign copies of his book.
Here's a short reminder of McNeil's time at Edgar Street as published by Sky Sports.
Dixie McNeil may have only spent a combined total of four years with Hereford during two spells, but his knack for scoring goals made him a legendary figure at the club.
A natural predator in front of goal who lived for hitting the back of the net, McNeil joined Hereford for his first spell at Edgar Street in 1974 from Lincoln City.
During his debut campaign with the Bulls, he notched 31 goals before setting a club record the following season.
As Hereford were crowned champions of the old Division Three in 1976, McNeil rattled in 35 goals en route to promotion to the second tier for the only time in the club's history.
And though Hereford may have finished bottom of the table in their sole season at that level, McNeil took the step up in his stride as he averaged a goal every other game.
That proved to be the end of McNeil's first spell with Hereford as he left the club to join Wrexham before returning to the Bulls in 1982.
He spent just one season back at Edgar Street, and though he was unable to replicate the achievements of his first stint, he was still a popular figure.
McNeil scored a total of five hat-tricks for Hereford and also combined well in his first spell with Terry Paine, who was part of England's World Cup-winning squad in 1966.
