Brabin wants to keep Kovacs

Hereford United defender Janos Kovacs has been on loan with Luton for the past few weeks and it looks as though their manager, Gary Brabin, would like him to stay.

"It is something we'd be interested in doing," Brabin told the Luton press.

"We spoke to Janos as well but at the moment we don't want to be going into it too much. He's still got games coming up and during his last week we'll have to touch base with Hereford and see where they are, because they had a change of personnel behind the scenes at their club.

"Janos has come in and done very well. He looks as if he's enjoying his football and he`ll be a good asset for us if we could extend that.

"It's like anything. He's back playing regular football, playing good football and it increase the stakes. He's Hereford's player and we've got him for a month, but at the end of the day, he's still owned by Hereford. That's going to be Hereford`s decision."

Kovacs has one more game, against Grimsby next Friday, before his initial loan spell ends.
