We must stick together says Keyte

Bulls chairman David Keyte has asked supporters to stick together despite the poor performance of the team.

"We are questioning everything at the moment and we are disappointed because we believe that we have a better squad of 13 or 14 players than we had at this time last year," Keyte told the Hereford Times.

"We're all Hereford United and we must stick together.

"We are missing Stefan Stam at the moment - not only for his playing ability but his leadership skills on the pitch. As a result we have been leaking goals and we have not got it right up-front because we are not converting our chances."

The paper doesn't carry any specific quotes by Keyte in support of manager Jamie Pitman but does report that the chairman has talked to Pitman.

Meanwhile the paper says that the young supporter who ran on the pitch last Saturday is expected to be banned.

"It's now a matter that will be dealt with by the police, the supporter will have an automatic banning order and the club has been reported to the FA."

Finally the chairman said that the club had enquired about strikers Leon Clarke and Shaun Harrad but their wage demands were too high.
