The Bulls entertain Aldershot on Tuesday night in a League Two match at Edgar Street.
The two sides have met 13 times since the Shots reformed in the mid-1990's, and the Bulls remain unbeaten at full time throughout the meetings. Both sides have a penalty win but, over 90 minutes, the Bulls have won eight of the encounters. They have also scored exactly two goals in each of the last six meetings, earning three wins and three 2-2 draws. Last season the Shots needed a late goal to deny the Bulls a win at Edgar Street, while Stuart Fleetwood and Joe Colbeck scored to help the Bulls to a 2-1 win at the Recreation Ground in January.
The Bulls will be looking for points from this winnable game. Saturday's defensive starting XI was dictated more by the availabilty of players, with Joe Colbeck not fit to play the full match and Tom Barkhuizen only having completed two 90 minutes in the last seven months after injury. Their introductions prompted a second half that saw the Bulls have ten more shots on goal than the opening 45 on Saturday, and starting berths for both must be on Jamie Pitman's mind as he looks for a second home win on the trot.
The Shots travel to Edgar Street on a five match unbeaten run in all competitions, but only three points above the Bulls after finding goals a problem. The Shots have scored twice in a game only in their Carling Cup wins over Carlisle and West Ham since their opening day win over Bradford, and in both the Carlisle and Bradford games the second goal was scored by the opposition putting through their own net. Striker Danny Hylton is the only player to score more than one League goal this season, having scored in each of their last two games.
