The Conf South side claim the taxman failed to tell them how much they owed for two years. Oxford are reported to have fielded defender Exodus Geoghaghon as one of five trialists in their reserve game yesterday.

Bradford have named Steve Parkin as the new no.2 to manager Phil Parkinson. The former Mansfield boss was most recently filling a similar role at Scunthorpe before leaving six months ago. Gillingham have been awarded the Performance of the Week award by the LMA's five man panel for their win at Edgar Street last Saturday.

Burton have signed keeper James Wren on a one year deal. The youngster was in goal for the Bulls 3-0 pre-season loss at Forest Green, where his mistakes contributed two of the goals. Swindon are reported to have been turned down by striker Clinton Morrison after Sheff Weds accepted an offer for a loan move. The Robins are claimed to have offered double what MK Dons were prepared to pay of Morrison's wages.

Mansfield appointed a female CEO last week, and have barely been out of the news since. Carolyn Still, at 29 the youngest club chief, has been claimed by the press to be in a relationship with club owner John Radford, while the Sun claims she previously worked as an escort. Macclesfield have signed former Bulls striker John Grant to a contract until January. The former Aldershot and Halifax man had been on non-contract terms at Moss Rose, making two sub appearances so far.

The Pilgrims are reported to have made an approach for Southend player-coach Graham Coughlan over their vacant managerial role. The 36 year old spent four highly successful years at Home Park. Macclesfield have signed goalkeeper Steve Collis on a deal until January. The 30 year old has been a free agent since being released by Peterboro 12 months ago.

Crawley are offering discounted tickets to fans of other teams. Season ticket holders of Premier and Championship sides can get into their games for £10, saving £6. Doncaster chairman John Ryan says he has no intention of sacking manager Sean O'Driscoll and assistant Richard O'Kelly despite the club being on the verge of a record 20 League games without a win, a mark they will set if they fail to beat Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Port Vale are to sign defenders Liam Chilvers and Rob Kozluk. Notts County central defender Chilvers signs for a months loan, while free agent Kozluk signs until January. He had an earlier trial at Burton.
