News Round-Up

Plymouth target Tresor Kandol failed to arrive at the club after agreeing a one year deal with the club. The Pilgrims say they need £270,000 from their prospective owners to cover this month's wages, with their exclusivity deal expiring in a week. Dagenham have signed West Ham midfielder Oliver Lee on a months loan. The 20 year old, son of Rob Lee, ended last season with the Daggers.

Bradford have signed Leicester teenager Liam Moore on a months loan. The 18 year old can play in a variety of defence and midfield positions. The Bantams have told fans they will not be running official coaches to away games this season for financial reasons. Rotherham have signed defender Michael Raynes from Scunthorpe on a two year deal. The 23 year old former Stockport man played only 12 times in 18 months with the Iron.

Morecambe have stalled on a deal to sign veteran striker Darren Byfield after the former Walsall man picked up a groin injury in training. Accrington have signed Burnley defender Kevin Long on loan until January. The 20 year old spent part of last season with Stanley, making 17 appearances. They have also signed Nat Taylor and Leam Richardson on non-contract terms. 18 year old forward Taylor has been playing for the local college, while Richardson is yet to prove his fitness after missing much of last season.

Oxford have loaned full back Steve Kinniburgh to Cambridge for a month. The 22 year old former Rangers trainee started only 10 League games last season. Macclesfield have signed former Bulls striker John Grant on non-contract terms. The 29 year old has been without a club since a short term deal at Barrow expired in January.

The financial dealings at Gillingham will remain murky for the forseeable future. At today's AGM, chairman Paul Scally refused to tell shareholders who now holds the £3.4million overdraft and refused to explain how the club were able to buy back the stadium for £8million less than they sold it for three years ago, or indeed who was funding the deal. The AGM was also their last, with a vote erasing the need for future meetings. Not that anyone found anything out.

Oxford have loaned defender Ben Purkiss to Darlington for an initial month. The 27 year old joined the U's from York last summer but has been on the transfer list all summer.
