Three Hereford United players will miss out on appearing in the opening League Two game of the season tomorrow. Michael Townsend is suspended, Nicky Featherstone has a foot injury and Dan Connor is still recovering from the injury he sustained whilst getting out of a car last season.
Also highly unlikely to take part are Janos Kovacs and Sean Canham who are both on the transfer list and not in manager Jamie Pitman's plans for the season.
So with five players out, Pitman only has 14 first team players available and so might have to name goalkeeping coach Russell Hoult on the bench and possibly a youth team member unless he reluctantly names Kovacs on the bench.
Unless there is a last minute signing this afternoon which, given the circumstances, is a possibility.
Team from: Adam Bartlett, Ryan Green, Tyler Weir, Joe Heath, Stefan Stam, Joe Colbeck, Kenny Lunt, James McQuilkin, Rob Purdie, Harry Pell, Kyle McCarthy, Stuart Fleetwood, Delroy Facey, Yoann Arquin.
