We need 50 Points says Pitman

Last night's Football League programme had a feature on Gillingham and their quest for promotion, and with Hereford the visitors yesterday at Preiestfields, their manager Jamie Pitman was also interviewed.

Speaking before kick-off Pitman contrasted the Bulls present position with that at this time in early 1997.

"We've still got a little bit to do, we know that.

"The sooner we get to that magic 50 points mark the better.

"We've still got a bit to do, I keep telling them that. It's not dead and buried.

"I remember when we got relegated the first time. We were 11 points clear and we got caught.

"So it's definitely not done until mathematically im-possible."

The programme also showed pictures of the officials walking up the tunnel after the game. The Gillingham staff too weren't happy with the performance of the referee.
