News Round-Up

Plymouth are set to offer unsecured creditors just 1p in the £ as part of any deal to take the club out of Administration. The Plymouth Herald says 220 businesses are owed money, while the club's 5,000 season ticket holders are also listed. The club's players have agreed to a deferrment of March's wages and are expected to do the same for April while a deal is struck. Port Vale supporters are to contact club shareholders this week to gather support for an EGM to make changes to the club to allow Mo Chaudry's bid to progress.

Rushden have failed to pay the wage bill for March. Manager Justin Edinburgh told the press after Saturday's loss to Mansfield that he hoped the players would receive some money this week. Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy told the press after Saturday's game that he asked ex-Bull Craig Stanley to return to the club from his loan at Torquay, but Stanley refused. Fans claim the pair have a strained relationship.

Woking have announced that they are in groundshare talks with Hayes and Yeading for next season. H&Y are moving out of their current ex-Hayes home to their ex-Yeading base but need to groundshare elsewhere for most of next season. Newport have named Anthony Hudson as their new manager. The 30 year old has been reserve team coach at Spurs after starting his coaching career in the US eight years ago.

Aldershot are to cut their playing budget next season. The decision was made after Dean Holdsworth was appointed as manager in January. The former Newport boss says he will have to turn to the club's youth policy, and he is currently unable to offer new contracts for next season as he doesn't know yet how big the cuts are.

Altrincham are warning fans that the club faces losing around £30,000 this season. The part-time club prides itself on balancing the books on the smallest budget in the Conference, and has told supporters that the deficit could cost next season's playing staff four members. Crewe manager Dario Gradi missed yesterday's 8-1 hammering of Cheltenham as he had flu.
