Paul Ince has quit Notts County. Yesterday they were defeated by Oldham and have lost their last five games.
Chairman Roy Trew called a meeting of directors and decided to part company with Ince who was one of only two non-white managers in the Football League.
"The recent run of results, which saw us win just once in March, meant that we were all in agreement that we had to address the situation," said Trew as reported by BBC Sport.
"When we sat down to discuss the matter with Paul, it became clear that we were in agreement that a parting of the ways would be the best way forwards for all parties."
Not one of the last five managers at Notts County has lasted more than six months.
