Former Bull Matt Gardiner has been told that the wage bill for his Redditch side will be zero for the remainder of the season.
Chairman Ken Rae has made the move after gates dropped under 200 for their recent home loss to Stalybridge. Gardiner and assistant John Snape are said to be considering their positions, but Rae paid tribute to them in a club statement: "I will be forever grateful to them both for doing what they have done for the club considering what they had to work with.
“I sincerely hope they both stay on as they are a pleasure to work with and I am certain that with them at the helm next season we can have a real go - with hopefully a better budget for them to work with."
The Bulls loaned forward Sam Malson to the Reds earlier in the season.
UPDATE: Both Gardiner and Snape have quit the club.
