News Round Up

Stockport have been assured that they will not be thrown out of Edgeley Park if they were to be relegated. Ground owner Cheshire Sports has told the club they can stay as long as they want, but if the club were relegated the Hatters' chairman admits they may have to look elsewhere for a cheaper option. Lincoln have extended the loan of goalkeeper Trevor Carson until April. His arrival has coincided with a sharp rise up the table.

Crewe have allowed former player Ashley Westwood to train with the club after he left Kettering. The 34 year old may be offered a deal if he can prove he is capable of forcing his way into their team. Accrington have denied that their board meeting at the weekend was a 'crisis meeting' with cashflow tight at the Crown Ground. The board are to call a meeting of shareholders to discuss options for the club.

Weymouth owner George Rolls is reported to have handed his findings on Kidderminster's finances to the club's board. A club statement says Rolls, whose involvement has been widely criticised, will have no further input to the club. Port Vale boss Jim Gannon is attempting to negotiate a longer loan for Rotherham striker Tom Pope, but any deal will depend on how much the Millers will subsidise his wages. All three of their other loanees will leave Vale Park this week.
