With the news that Eddie Howe has taken charge of his last match for Bournemouth, there is speculation that Marc Pugh, the former Hereford United player, could follow him to Burnley.
Pugh left Burnley, his first club, towards the end of the 2005/06 season and then played for Bury and Shrewsbury before joining Hereford, initially on loan and then permanently in July 2009.
He signed a one year deal and Hereford offered him a new deal last spring, but Pugh took up the offer of a contract with newly promoted Bournemouth. Because of his age there was a fee to pay and when the clubs couldn't agree it went to tribunal.
They decided that Bournemouth should pay Hereford an initial £60,000 and additionally they should be a further £10,000 after each 15 appearances for his new club up to a maximum of 60 appearances. They also confirmed that Hereford should receive 10% of any profit made by Bournemouth should he be sold to another club at any point in the future.
Pugh has been a regular in the Bournemouth side since joining the south coast side but it is unknown whether Howe feels is good enough to play in the Championship for Burnley. However his talley of 11 goals in 25 games this season to date is impressive.
