The Bulls travel to the Crown Ground on Saturday to face Accrington Stanley in another League Two fixture.
The two sides have met in seven of the last eight seasons, with the Bulls winning their last two trips north. Last season Gavin McCallum scored twice to secure the points in a 2-1 win, while in the 07/08 season Gary Hooper followed up an own goal to give the Bulls a 2-0 victory - their first on the ground. In Football League encounters the Bulls have won four of seven so far, with two draws. In October the two sides shared a 1-1 draw at Edgar Street with Mathieu Manset scoring his second of the season.
Accrington will officially launch their play-off campaign, creatively entitled 'Play-off Bid 2011', with a fans forum on Wednesday night, but their season low crowd on Tuesday night witnessed Stanley surrender a lead and a four match unbeaten run. Their home form is far better than that on their travels, scoring twice as many goals on home soil, but they have just 11 goals in their last ten games. Top scorer is Terry Gornell with nine, with John Coleman calling him the best striker in the division.
It's been some time since the Bulls had a front pair with 20 goals between them in January - usually our star strikers haven't signed for the club yet! The Orange army will travel north with five unbeaten games in 2011 and 12 goals to their name. Undoubted appreciation for the form should go to the influence of Lennie Lawrence who has neither grabbed, nor sought, the limelight since his arrival but will surely be the bigger loss if the two rumoured departures are to happen in January.
