The Croydon Advertiser is claiming that Mathieu Manset is close to signing for Crystal Palace.
The Championship side have been claimed to be after Lennie Lawrence as their no.2, but the paper reports: 'The Advertiser has been told that negotiations for the deal are already well down the line and the forward is expected to complete his switch to Selhurst Park in the next few days.'
Palace are also chasing Everton striker James Vaughan with the 22 year old spending three months on loan at Selhurst Park in the first half of the season. Bulls chairman David Keyte has previously confirmed rejecting a bid from a Championship side for Manset.
