Tony James is staying with Burton Albion despite an approach from Hereford United.
"We simply have too much on our plate in terms of fixtures between now and the end of the season for me to contemplate letting Tony go," said manager Paul Peschisolido according to the Burton Mail.
"Football changes very quickly in terms of personnel because of injuries and suspensions, and I’m sure Tony is going to have to play a lot of football for us.
"I know he’s frustrated at not being in the team, but he’s going nowhere until the summer.
"He was player of the year last season and he’s still a valuable member of the squad."
