The Wycombe Wanderers manager Gary Waddock gave credit to Hereford United for winning the game with a well worked set-piece.
"It wasn't our night, at the end of the day we got beat," Waddock told the Wycombe OS.
"We just got undone with a set-piece.
"They (Hereford) had worked at it on the training ground, so credit to them for being able to do that.
"Players have to be responsible for set-pieces - one or two failed to do that which resulted in the goal which meant they go through to the next round.
"That's the reason we are out of the cup."
