No Move for Pugh says Bournemouth Chairman

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has played down speculation that former Hereford United winger Marc Pugh is a potential target for Southampton.

"No, not at all," Mitchell told the Daily Echo.

"And I don’t think he would go for £200,000.

"I think he’s worth a lot of money – he’s a very good player – and he’s certainly worth more than £200,000.

"We don’t want to lose him and we’re not going to lose him, as far as I’m concerned.

"I think he’s done very well. I think he’s a great choice and he has played fantastically."

It's quite possible that Pugh may move on at some stage and Hereford United should benefit from the 10% sell on clause in his transfer from Edgar Street to Dean Court.
