Bulls coach in Malta

UEFA Deputy Chairman Jim Boyce, MFA Chief Executive Officer Bjorn Vassallo and Hereford United coaches Jamie Edwards and William J. Perkins were the main guest speakers during a seminar for coaches of the Pembroke Athleta Football Nursery.

YFA Chairman Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro opened the Seminar with a talk on the Nursery coaches’ responsibilities in guiding the children and youths under their care. This was followed by a presentation by Hereford United Youth Development Manager and F.A. Tutor, Jamie Edwards and assistant William J. Perkins who came over to Malta for this seminar. They explained their set-up, philosophy on the subject, their Mission Statement and goals.

In the second part of the Seminar, the foreign coaches conducted a practical training session with Pembroke Athleta’s Nursery Under-13 children at the Nursery’s football ground. An extra training session was also held on the eve of the Seminar, this time with the Nursery’s Under 10/11 Group

At the end the participants, mainly Pembroke Athleta coaches, put questions to the lecturers after which the Seminar was concluded by special guests Jim Boyce and Bjorn Vassallo. The UEFA Deputy Chairman thanked the organizers for their work in society while the MFA CEO praised the Nursery for the organization of the event and the sterling work being done for its children and youths.
