Jake Jervis made his debut as a sub for Notts County as they were thrashed by Huddersfield, but Theo Robinson didn't get off the bench. Andy Williams debuted for Yeovil as they beat Leyton Orient.
Darren Jones was booked as he debuted for Aldershot in front of 1,624 at Accrington. Lee Collins scored the only goal as Port Vale won at Bury. Barnet gave debuts to Anwar Uddin, Glen Southam, Mark Marshall, and Darren Dennehy as a sub but they lost at Chesterfield. Gavin McCallum managed a last minute sub appearance as Lincoln lost at Rotherham.
Lionel Ainsworth was instrumental as Shrewsbury beat Bradford, setting up at least one of the goals.
