On March 7th 2010 BN published an article about the floodlights at Edgar Street. We can now add a little bit more information about the first floodlights thanks to a supporter, 'Adi.hufc', who has kindly forwarded a copy of the programme used at the official switching on of the lights which took place on Thursday March 12th 1953.
In our article we stated that the floodlights were first used in a reserve game, but Adi believes that wasn't the case and it was the game against Merthyr that was the first one to be played under lights.
